    Hi all,

If you are interested to watch my video
but can't afford the download time, my
last video is on the cover disk of the
May 2001 Computer Shopper. (A UK magazine)

    It's in MPEG format.

    cheers,

    andy

I'd love to see your film but out of princible there is no way I'll be seen buying a PC magazine.
Could you get it put onto 'Macworld' or 'Macuser' or some other reputable magazine.

    Hi Machhead, Mods,

I'd love my videos to be on any
magazine PC, MAC or cheesy video.

It just seems to be difficult to
    get people interested enough to
    do this.

(BTW, I've been playing with the
idea of getting a G4 for a while
    now. Saving those pennies.)

Again, if you have any ideas of how
to get my videos 'out there' please
    feel free to help.

    thanks again,

    andy

i think you guys have lost the plot! This guy has got distribution of some sort and we are bothered about whether it is on a Mac Mag.
I guess you were all joking, however; Congratulations in order I feel for getting his work out there and seen...Geez it's all me me me. If any of the above feel offended by this statement...tough....well done Andy we should be aspiring to be like you. Also if you can ever help me on my work.....

    Hi Them1tch,

Thanks for this. I took the other reply
as a joke, and am not offended. I'd like
to think that I don't get offended, even
if you think my videos are crap...at least
you watched them and made an oppinion.

But you are right it is soooo difficult to
get *any* kind of distribution. So my
strategy at the moment is doing videos for
free and then giving them away. This may
not seem to be a very good business case
but I hope in the future after I do this
for a few more years someone *might*
    actually pay me.

Although, this message board is one of
the best I've seen on the net for help
    and advice.

There was one thread I remember which was
a group wanting to distribute a CD with
people's videos on it. I've not heard
much more of this, but I do think this
is a good way forward. This is a good
inbetween ground from trying to do
    everything yourself and some distribution
company doing everying for you. It's
a shame that this kinda died.

In short a kinda helping eachother with
distribution seems a good idea. I'm sure
you would help me distribute my work if you
knew I was helping you distribute your
    work.

So far, all outlets that I've achived are
detailed on my web site. So everyone is
free to see and try to get as far as I got.

So good luck and I am open to suggestions
    and helping others.

    have fun,

    andy http://www.wintonfilms.co.uk/
